Jean LaBelle: guitar and
vocal
Video By: Moonglow Studio |
Here is a special presentation of the song, "Golden
Years" by David Bowie. The song is rarely
if ever heard as an acoustic piece and Jean became
very interested in putting together a special
acoustic arrangement. In this video version,
Jean LaBelle performs the song on acoustic guitar
and vocals with additional background vocals also
added by Jean.
"Golden Years" was
released by Bowie in 1975. It reached No. 10
on the charts and remained on the charts for 16
weeks.
In this special video presentation of
Jean's version, there is seen colorful psychedelic
imagery of authentic
liquid light visuals. Liquid Light is a
famous, yet now rarely seen, form of psychedelic
light show that was born in the early 1960s.
It is an elaborate creative effort using layers of
colored oils and water which is manipulated by hand
between sheets of glass. Light is then shined
through the glass and projected onto a screen. In
the 1960s, these light shows were performed live
with the visuals being projected behind musical
groups. In this video, the visuals are actual liquid
light which has been created by Bob Pullum.
Bob is a light show artist who has been dedicated to
the craft since the mid sixties and has worked with
countless bands throughout the decades. |
